Sri S.V.M. Sastry, now working as Senior Consultant in Parampara Family Business Institute (PFBI) was a retired General Manager of State Bank of Hyderabad. After retirement, he joined GMR group in 2004. He was instrumental in setting up Family Office which functioned as nodal point for conducting family meetings to shape the Family Constitution, the first version of which was signed by GMR Family in 2007. There after he worked with leading legal experts to create Trusts in the names of the four family branches which were given 25% of ownership share each.
He has acquired rich academic knowledge by reading prominent books and on family business, attending national and international conferences and practical knowledge of family business by working with GMR family to put in place family Constitution and legal documents. He was a speaker in many Awareness Programs conducted by CII, YEO, and Chamber of Commerce etc. He took sessions on family business to MBA students on Narsi Monji Management Institute, Bangalore. He conducted, one to one, educational sessions to a few leading families in Business to create awareness and guide them on family governance. He wrote 5 case studies on family business including 3 primary cases. In 2020 he authored a book in Telugu on Family Business published by EMESCO books, a leading publisher in Telugu books.
He is now working on book on Family Business in English and continue to research in family Business literature.

2020 లొ తెలుగులో ‘కుటుంబ వ్యాపారాలు- తరతరాలుగ కొనసాగేందుకు విజయ సూత్రాలు’ అనే పుస్తకం ఎం ఎస్ కో వారిద్వారా ప్రకాశింప చేసారు, ఇప్పుడు ఇంగ్లీషులో కుటుంబ వ్యాపారాలని గురించి ఒక పుస్తకం రాస్తున్నారు. కుటుంబ వ్యాపారం మీద ప్రముఖ పుస్తకాలు, వ్యాసాలు పరిశొధన కొరకు నిరంతరం అధ్యయనం చేస్తుంటారు.
